A lost pearl among Rahman Songs.

When it comes to Qawwalli´s Rahman delivers the best. I knew about only 2 qawwall´s of Rahman. Fiza - Piya Haaji Ali and Jodha Akbar - Khwaja Mere Khwaja.

But a few days before, one of my friends told me there´s another one. Its called Noor-ul-ana from Meenaxi. If you run a quick google search on it, the results would be minimal. It seems like nobody has noticed such a song. You´d get hardly any results on the search.

So check out that song. And tell me what you felt.

Meenaxi - A R Rahman - Noor-ul-ana

Why this blog ?

Let me take this opportunity to explain the reason behind this blog.

But before that a little about me.
I´m Jeff. A huge A R Rahman fan. I enjoy Rahman songs in a way nobody does. I shake, move, tap, groove to Rahman songs. Everytime I listen to his songs, I find something new. This might sound lame to you. As a matter of fact, lots of things I say here might not make sense to you. But this blog is not for you. This is for me. This is what I felt when I listened to his songs.

This doesnt mean I´m the only person who understands his music. I think, everybody has a different style of approach to songs. Any song. This blog is about my approach, my feel towards Rahman Songs.

Let me note here, that I´m not an educated music person. Nor do I have knowledge in different things of music. Its a fact that I play keyboard. But I´ve no clue what different terms in music means. So if you´re here looking for music jargons, you´d find none.
